They are all based on an 800V skateboard architecture and are the heirs of the Estafette concept seen in Hanover in September 2024

Flexis, the joint venture between Renault Group, Volvo Group and CMA CGM, unveiled its range of vehicles and services to be launched in 2026. Focused on the development of 100% electric urban vehicles based on a common EV-native platform and equipped with a Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) electronic architecture, the company also presented the integrated software and services developed to support logistics operators.

Flexis also announced ten letters of intent with logistics operators in France, the UK and Germany, representing a potential demand of up to 15,000 vehicles over three years. Three of these operators, Colis Privé (France), HIVED (UK) and DB Schenker (Germany), will work with Flexis to jointly develop profitable operational solutions. Currently undergoing industrialisation at the Renault Group’s Sandouville plant, the first customer deliveries are scheduled for 2026.

Based on an EV-native platform with SDV electronic architecture developed by Ampere of the Renault Group, Flexis has developed a family of three fully electric, urban-friendly, connected and customisable vehicles. The platform allows the vehicles to send real-time data to fleet management operators to maximise operational efficiency, as well as receive over-the-air updates, essentially turning the vehicle into a computer on wheels.

The range of vehicles, also based on the Estafette concept unveiled at the IAA Transportation show in Hanover last September, has been designed with logistics operations in mind to significantly improve efficiency. All vehicles feature a low floor height, the possibility to fully customise the interior, the integration of high-capacity battery solutions and a range of up to 280 miles WLTP.

Flexis has already invested €350 million in the development of the product range and will enter the industrialisation and pre-production phase in 2025. Series production will begin in mid-2026 at the Renault Group’s Sandouville plant in France. As part of the development process, twenty representative prototypes have been built and are being tested, having accumulated more than 9,000 hours of driving since March 2024.

The complete family consists of three models: the step-in van, the cargo van and the panel van. Flexis plans to sell its vehicles directly to logistics operators and fleet managers, and will also supply the vehicles to the Renault Group and Volvo Trucks, which will distribute them under their own brands in their sales networks.

Flexis Step-In Van (2025)

The Step-In Van features a unique silhouette in the medium van segment, with sliding front doors and a roll-up rear door to optimise loading; a first for the European market. The van offers easy access between the passenger and cargo areas with a clear height of 1.90 m, allowing operators to walk upright inside the vehicle.

Flexis Cargo Van (2025)

The Flexis Cargo Van is the vehicle adapted to the delivery needs of the last urban mile and beyond, with an easily convertible box capable of integrating different widths, heights and beds, as well as modular solutions including, but not limited to, refrigerated elements.

Flexis Panel Van (2025)

The Panel Van‘s multi-purpose, urban-friendly design overcomes all the limitations of current offerings on the market, including superior manoeuvrability and an overall height of 1.9 m, allowing it to easily enter underground car parks and city garages.

Flexis electric van line

In addition to the electric vehicle range, Flexis is developing a portfolio of B2B services designed to help logistics operators decarbonise their operations and improve operational efficiency. Flexis fleet management solutions are based on an open platform that leverages the capabilities of Software Defined Vehicles (SDV) and allows them to be integrated into customers’ existing digital environments.

Flexis Step-In Van (2025)

Flexis services are built around four main pillars: Uptime Management; Operational Efficiency;
Energy and Charging Infrastructure Management; and Financial Services. These services will be delivered either through a central digital platform for Flexis customers called ‘FlexE Connect’ or through service networks across Europe (Renault Group and Volvo Group) and a Customer Operations Centre.
