SharpGrade has announced an update to one of its most popular grader blade models — the G116. The latest version now features a hydraulic retracting walking beam style front wheel assembly, enabling operators to raise or lower the front wheels directly from their joysticks for heightened convenience and control.
This innovation allows grading closer to walls, curbs, and foundations, straddle a windrow, as well as easily navigating around obstacles, all without leaving the operator's seat. The result: faster, cleaner grading with less downtime.
Designed for large-frame skid steers and compact-track loaders in the 75-100 HP range, the G116 transforms a loader into a precision grading powerhouse. Combining the benefits of a full-size grader with the agility of a skid steer, it delivers speed, accuracy, and control in both forward and reverse operation.
At the heart of every SharpGrade is the patented QuadRod linkage system with Zero Cross Coupling, which is sealed, shielded, and lifetime lubricated ensuring unmatched rigidity, zero greasing, and maintenance-free operation. The adjustable hitch plate, underslung walking beam, and now hydraulic retractable front chassis make the G116 ideal for demanding applications such as heavy stonework, road construction, site prep, and 3D-controlled fine grading.
The G116 enables operators to fine grade with ±3mm accuracy, up to ten times faster than traditional bucket methods. Its "plug-and-play" design connects quickly to any large-frame skid steer or CTL, and for enhanced accuracy it easily integrates with all popular 3D machine control systems.
Every SharpGrade attachment is built for durability, featuring induction-hardened pins, HardiLube bushes, and dirt-sealed joints for years of low-maintenance performance. High quality hydraulic systems include built-in relief valves and manual overrides for maximum reliability in tough conditions.
"The G116 has long been a favourite among contractors running large-frame loaders," said Rodney Sharp, SharpGrade president. "After the award-winning launch of the G109, customers told us they wanted the same hydraulic front wheel feature in a larger frame machine. We listened — and delivered."
